Date: 19 September 2017 (Tuesday), 10:00 – 17:00 (forum starts after the opening of the international conference «BIOMASS FOR ENERGY 2017»)
Place: Ukraine, Kyiv, Volodymyrska Str., 55, Session hall at the 3rd floor
Goal of the forum: Enhancing the Dutch-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of sustainable use of biomass and biofuels in the heat supply and transport sectors of Ukraine.
Target group of the forum: Ukrainian sector companies, governmental institutes, agrarian companies and municipalities.
Ukraine faces challenges in the energy sector and biomass as an energy resource can make a significant contribution to the production of heat, electricity and biofuels.
Dutch companies have substantial experience in research, development and introduction of all bioenergy technologies (including combustion, co-firing, anaerobic digestion, and energy generation from waste, biofuel production) and introduction of biobased economy both from the research and production point of view.
Program of the forum this year includes two hot topics for Ukraine. In course of the first session, the questions of biomass utilization for production of heating energy will be discussed. Suggested topics for discussion: biomass resources, creation of the market of heating energy from biomass, standardization and certification of solid biomass, state and IFI programs and support mechanisms.
Second part of the forum will be dedicated to the questions of use of sugar beet waste and other agricultural biomass for production of liquid fuels (bioethanol and biodiesel) to be used in the heating and transportation sectors. Because of the necessity for Ukraine to comply with the targets sent by European Energy convention and practically unutilized quotas for export of bioethanol to EU the topic gain momentum and becomes hot.>>PROGRAM <<
