On April 1, 2018, the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legal Acts of Ukraine Concerning Deregulation in Oil and Gas Industry" № 2314-VIII from March 1, 2018 entered into force.

According to the adopted Law, amendments have been made to the Law of Ukraine “On regulation of urban planning activities”, in particular, part 3 of art. 24.:

In the absence of a zoning plan or a detailed territory plan, the transfer (provision) of land plots from state or municipal property to the ownership or use of individuals and legal entities for urban needs is prohibited, except in the following cases:

3) provision of land for the placement of linear objects of transport and energy infrastructure (roads, bridges, overpasses, power lines, communication lines).

Georgii Geletukha, Head of the Board of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, said:

We consider such changes to be a significant simplification for the renewable energy sector as a whole and for the bioenergy sector in particular.

Recall that a detailed plan of the territory is considered and approved by the local authorities, and outside of the settlement is considered and approved by the relevant district state administration.
