Letter 544"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Znimok-ekrana-2021-10-25-o-22.41.02.png\" alt=\"\u041b\u0438\u0441\u0442 UABIO \u2116544\" class=\"wp-image-11671\" width=\"300\" height=\"425\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A significant increase in prices for fossil fuel and energy resources imported to Ukraine necessitates the transition to its own alternative fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in March, two important draft laws were registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>on promoting the development of energy crops;<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>regarding the rent for the lands on which energy crops are grown.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>But so far they have not been considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>That is why we addressed a letter to the people&#8217;s deputies with a request to consider these two important draft laws as soon as possible. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Lyst-BAU-544.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Full text of UABIO\u2019s letter \u2116 544 on\u00a0the need to transition to own alternative fuels and support the cultivation of energy crops<\/a>\u00a0(in Ukrainian).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the way to replace natural gas, reduce CO2 emissions and develop the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be recalled that Ukraine has<strong> up to 4 million hectares<\/strong> of degraded and unproductive agricultural land. These lands are not suitable for agriculture but can be used for growing energy crops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine addressed the Chairman\u00a0of the\u00a0Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy\u00a0<strong>Mykola Solskyi<\/strong>; Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy <strong>Danylo Hetmantsevv<\/strong>; Head\u00a0of the\u00a0Office\u00a0of the\u00a0President\u00a0of\u00a0Ukraine <strong>Andrii Yermak<\/strong>; Secretary\u00a0of the\u00a0National Security\u00a0and\u00a0Defense Council\u00a0of\u00a0Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov; Head\u00a0of the\u00a0State Agency\u00a0on\u00a0Energy Efficiency\u00a0and\u00a0Energy Saving\u00a0of\u00a0Ukraine <strong>Valerii Bezus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em><em>The position of the UABIO is prepared, discussed, and agreed upon by the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/en\/members\/companies\/\" target=\"_blank\">members of the UABIO<\/a>, which produce more than 50% of all energy from biomass and biogas in Ukraine.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A significant increase in prices for fossil fuel and energy resources imported to Ukraine necessitates the transition to its own alternative fuels.
