Especially if agricultural producers implement such systems on the basis of available own resources of agrobiomass. During the meetings with stakeholders, UABIO experts discussed the peculiarities of implementing agrobiomass heating systems for production and storage facilities, educational institutions, and other social infrastructure. Within the framework of the AgroBioHeat project, a National Strategic Plan for the Development of Agrobiomass Heating has been developed for Ukraine. It is a study of long-term prospects for sustainable development of bioenergy, including the production of liquid biofuels for transport without indirect land-use change (ILUC), ie without competition for food or feed crops. CERESiS engages scientists, industry representatives, organizations, institutes, and small or medium-sized businesses to work together to overcome the risk of indirect land-use change (ILUC) in biofuel production, as well as the fact that large areas of contaminated land remain unused. The project aims to provide a reliable sustainable solution to both problems by promoting the purification of contaminated lands through phytoremediation, ie the cultivation of energy crops to obtain clean biofuels.
