At least at the level of production costs \u2014 84%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Lyst-BAU-555.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Full text of UABIO\u2019s letter \u2116 555 regarding the paying for supplied electricity from biomass and biogas to producers\u00a0(in Ukrainian).<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why 84%?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Due to rising raw material prices, the average cost of 1 kWh of electricity produced from biomass over the past two months is 8% higher than the established &#8220;green&#8221; tariff.<\/li><li>Russia&#8217;s attack has caused shortages and significant increases in the cost of consumables, spare parts, and components for landfill gas and biomass plants.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These two factors led to an increase in the cost of electricity produced from biogas to a critical 84%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is it important to support electricity producers from biomass and biogas? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Production of electricity from biomass and biogas even in martial law: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>is <strong>a stable and predictable<\/strong> source of electricity production,<\/li><li>provides for a <strong>high level of employment<\/strong> per unit of installed capacity, in particular from the related forest and agricultural sectors,<\/li><li>determines the use of local raw materials,<\/li><li>continues to provide taxes to local and state budgets.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We remind you that in wartime, almost all plants continuously produce more than 2.3 million kWh of electricity from biomass and biogas daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em><em>The position of the UABIO is prepared, discussed, and agreed upon by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/en\/members\/companies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">members of the UABIO<\/a>, which produce more than 50% of all energy from biomass and biogas in Ukraine.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO) has appealed to the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) to assist in paying for supplied electricity from biomass and biogas to producers!
