Our country has great export potential in this area. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The biomethane target can even triple by 2050, growing well over 100 billion cubic metres and covering 30 to 50% of the future EU gas demand.\u00a0This opinion was expressed by Harmen Dekker, CEO of EBA (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanbiogas.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Biogas Association<\/a>). The key point here is concerted actions across member states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is planned, that the biomethane target should be integrated into the EU Renewable Energy Directive and other legislation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why will the biomethane industry grow rapidly? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00abWe simply cannot rely on a supplier who explicitly threatens us.\u00bb \u2014 said Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen. She emphasised that Europe must become independent from Russian oil, coal and gas.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00abPutin\u2019s war in Ukraine demonstrates the urgency of accelerating our clean energy transition. It is time we tackle our vulnerabilities and rapidly become more independent in our energy choices. Let\u2019s dash into renewable energy at lightning speed.
