{"id":17337,"date":"2025-01-13T17:06:59","date_gmt":"2025-01-13T15:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uabio.org\/?p=17337"},"modified":"2025-03-12T12:44:42","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T10:44:42","slug":"rozshyrene-vyrobnytstvo-biometanu-z-mikrovodorostej-vyroshhenyh-u-dygestati-biogazovyh-ustanovok","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uabio.org\/en\/projects\/17337\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovate Ukraine: Advanced biomethane from microalgae"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>The\u00a0project\u00a0will be implemented for 2 years by a consortium of Ukrainian and\u00a0UK partners:\u00a0The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.manchester.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of\u00a0Manchester\u00a0<\/a>(UK,\u00a0administrative head, technology lead),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/algaecytes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ALGAECYTES\u00a0LIMITED<\/a>\u00a0(UK, commercial partner),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eko-energy.com.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PJSC \u201cMHP ECO ENERGY\u201d\u00a0<\/a>(Ukraine, commercial partner) and Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (scientific partner).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project involves researching the potential for advanced biomethane production from microalgae grown in the digestate of biogas plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The idea of the work<\/strong>\u00a0is based on the hypothesis of the possibility of effective cultivation of microalgae in digestate from biogas plants, which contains the macro- and microelements necessary for the microalgae growth, with the addition of CO2 obtained from the upgrading of biogas to biomethane, and the subsequent conversion of the harvested microalgae into biogas and biomethane.
