We have great news for the entire bioenergy sector! The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine<\/strong><\/a> has officially approved the Program for the Development of Biomethane Production through 2035<\/strong><\/a> and a detailed Action Plan for its implementation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not just a strategic document \u2014 it is a \u201croadmap\u201d for transforming Ukraine into a key player in the European renewable gas market.<\/p>\n\n\n

Program goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • By 2030: reach an annual production level of 1 billion cubic meters <\/strong>of biomethane.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • By 2035: increase capacity to 2.1 billion cubic meters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    In the first phase of the program\u2019s implementation, the plan is to launch eight biomethane plants and establish the institutional framework necessary for the full-scale operation of the biomethane sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What does the program include?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. The construction of new biomethane plants and the modernization of existing biogas facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Simplifying the procedures for connecting biomethane producers to gas transmission and distribution networks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Developing investment incentives for businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      As early as this year, there are plans to gain access to the EU database for renewable fuels and to initiate the mutual recognition of guarantees of origin for biomethane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
