Details at <a href=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/en\/events\/8448\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the link<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UABIO has suggestions for overcoming these barriers by improving the legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is in priority?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>to define the term &#8220;energy crops&#8221;;<\/li><li>to simplify access to unproductive and degraded agricultural lands of state and communal property;<\/li><li>to limit the maximum amount of rent for agricultural lands of state and communal ownership;<\/li><li>to establish the minimum term of lease of agricultural lands of state and communal ownership for growing energy crops within 20 years;<\/li><li>introduce compensation for the cost of planting and caring for energy plantations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/uabio.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/unnamed-38.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8549\" width=\"387\" height=\"214\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Such draft Law \u201cOn Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Promote the Development of Energy Crops\u201d was developed by the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine together with the State Agency on Energy Efficiency\u00a0and\u00a0Energy Saving\u00a0of Ukraine (SAEE) and submitted to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>More information on improving the conditions for growing energy crops in Ukraine in <a href=\"http:\/\/pgp-journal.kiev.ua\/archive\/2020\/6\/18.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the article by our lawyer Anna Pastukh<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>However, this direction is not developing enough.
