Ukrainian GTS Operator (OGTSU) and the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine will cooperate in the field of renewable gas development

Ukrainian GTS Operator (OGTSU) and the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. They will explore the technical possibilities of transporting biomethane through the Ukrainian gas transportation system and work on creating legal opportunities for this. Also in the plans – the implementation of pilot business projects.

For Ukraine, work in this direction is particularly important, given the potential role of renewable gases in the balance of the energy system within the transition to a carbon-free economy.

Thus, the signatories begin cooperation for the development of clean technologies, modernization of Ukraine’s energy sector, and its further integration with the European one.
