Raw materials for biomethane production: trends

Diagram of the most promising raw materials for biomethane production. In the diagram of the European Biogas Association you can see the number of new biomethane plants built during the year. In 2013, the transition from energy crops to agricultural waste, municipal waste, and sewage sludge began. Interestingly, since 2017, there are virtually no newly built plants that use energy crops.
