Creation of the system of electronic trade in biofuels in Ukraine

The biofuel market in Ukraine has a number of problems that require an immediate solution. Thus, instability of prices for biofuels negatively affects the work of existing and the emergence of new generating facilities. The price of firewood, pellets, cod and other solid biofuels may vary by area several times. The mechanism for organizing the biofuel market in Ukraine should be the use of a single electronic platform where all interested producers and consumers will have a possibility for biofuels trading. Thus, instability of prices, the unreliability of supply and doubtful quality of biofuels negatively affect the work of existing and the emergence of new generating facilities. This indicates that the biofuels market is developing spontaneously and needs to be changed. A lot of effort needs to be made for the real introduction of e-commerce for biofuels. In particular, to develop and adopt necessary legislation; to define a fully-fledged state body regulating electronic commerce; to conduct a tender and to select a system operator. However, according to the authors of the article, such efforts are worthwhile for a transparent, efficient and civilized biofuel market to emerge in Ukraine.
