Welcome to the UABIO team new member – the Globyno bioenergy complex LLC!
We are glad to announce that LLC “Globyno Bioenergy Complex”, a major player in the renewable energy sector, is a new member of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine.
In 2014, Astarta agricultural holding put into operation one of the largest bioenergy complexes in Ukraine with a production capacity of over 60 million m3 of biogas per year.
Raw materials
The raw materials for the production of biogas are by-products of sugar production (raw pulp) and organic waste from agricultural production.
Biogas is an alternative substitute for natural gas for the soybean processing and sugar plants of the agro-industrial holding.

The plant has innovative equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers:

- «Streisal» (Germany),
- «Sulzer» (Switzerland),
- «HUNING» (Germany),
- «Siemens» (Germany),
- «UTC» (Ukraine) etc.
The project was implemented with the financial support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
