We are pleased to announce that the large Ukrainian agricultural company VITAGRO ENERGY has now joined the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine.
About the company
The history of the VITAGRO Group of Companies begins with the creation in 1999 of the private enterprise «Promyslova Kompaniya», which initially focused on the trade of fuel and lubricants.
Today, it is a large agricultural holding that encompasses crop production, pig farming, milk production, feed production, and plant protection products. Activity in the field of renewable energy sources is a relatively new direction.
In 2018, the group made the decision to invest in solar energy projects. Within three years, four solar power plants with a total capacity of 15.6 MW were built in the Khmelnytskyi region. These facilities revitalized abandoned areas in rural communities and created over 20 jobs.
In 2021, VITAGRO ENERGY decided to expand into the bioenergy sector, creating a synergistic effect with its agricultural business. In 2022, the company began construction from scratch on a biomethane production project with a planned capacity of 3 million cubic meters per year. To achieve this, the company purchased a distillery at auction with the aim of its reconstruction and production of bioethanol.

The strategic focus for the next three years is the development of projects for biomethane, bioethanol, and other alternative fuels.
