The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine joined the Ukrainian delegation of renewable energy associations for a business trip to Berlin from February 28 to March 2 as part of the Business Scout Fund (BSF) project “International dialogues of renewable-energy associations for the global energy transition”.

The Ukrainian delegation held meetings with:

  • BMWK (Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Action);
  • AA (Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs);
  • BMZ (Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development).

The meetings discussed the prospects for cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the field of renewable energy development during and after the war. In addition, the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine held a bilateral seminar with the German Biogas Association (Fachverband Biogas e.V.).

The main focus of the seminar was on the development of biogas and biomethane production in Ukraine, the creation of conditions for realizing the potential of such renewable gases, and the prospects for the use of Ukrainian biomethane in the EU.

Fachverband Biogas eV unites operators, manufacturers and designers of biogas plants, representatives of science and research organizations, as well as other stakeholders throughout the country. Since its foundation in 1992, the association has grown into Europe’s most authoritative organization in the biogas sector, with more than 4,700 members.

The project Business Scout Fund (BSF) «International dialogues of renewable-energy associations for the global energy transition» is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
