The procedure for the customs clearance of biomethane transported by pipeline has been established!
This is a huge step forward for the biomethane industry!
In Ukraine’s official bulletin No. 77, the order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine dated August 1, 2024, No. 380, “On Amendments to certain regulatory acts of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine regarding customs affairs” has been published. This order defines the procedure for customs clearance of biomethane transported by pipeline transport.
The order, developed in accordance with the adopted Law of Ukraine No. 3613-IX, comes into effect today.
Importance
- A necessary step that enables biomethane producers to carry out customs clearance of renewable gas during its transportation by pipeline from Ukraine to EU countries.
- A large number of specialists from both governmental and non-governmental organizations were involved in resolving the issue of customs clearance for biomethane. This is the result of effective collaboration and forward-thinking decisions that will contribute to the growth of our economy.
