Ukraine exports biomethane!
Congratulations to all the institutions and everyone involved in this important stage of the Ukrainian energy sector development, which took more than two years to prepare for!

On 6 February 2025, the Energy Customs successfully processed a periodic customs declaration for the first batch of biomethane to be exported to Europe by pipeline across the customs border of Ukraine
As a reminder, exports were finally made possible by amending Ukrainian legislation on customs control and customs clearance of biomethane.
The UABIO team is sincerely grateful:
- Members of Parliament of Ukraine, in particular Andrii Zhupanyn, the author of the draft law, Yuriy Kamelchuk, Andriy Gerus and Danylo Hetmantsev for their contribution to the adoption of amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine that allowed the export of biomethane,
