UABIO as a member of the MHP Eco Energy team will take part in the BIOMETHAVERSE project within the innovative Horizon Europe program!
Biomethane in Ukraine is a way to improve the energy system of Ukraine! So we tell you about an extremely important project.
Congratulations to the member of our association, the MHP Eco Energy, on winning and receiving grant funding from the European Commission!
The aim of the project is to develop and increase the efficiency of biomethane production technologies and to integrate the technology of production and biomethanization of green hydrogen due to replacing of natural gas and decarbonization of the European economy.
MHP Eco Energy — leader of the team, members of which are:
- Bioenergy Association of Ukraine;
- German Center for Biomass Research (Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum);
- Ellmann Engineering Gmbh.
The total funding of the scientific consortium of the European Biogas Association is about 11.5 million euros. Implementation of the project will start on October 1, 2022.
Horizon Europe is a key program of the European Union for research and innovation. Horizon projects account for about 20% of global R&D, and research results are the basis for 25% of all breakthrough scientific developments in the world.
