After a year of significant operational achievements, Ammongas, a member of UABIO, announces the launch of a specialised training course. This initiative responds to the growing need for a deeper technical understanding of amine-based upgrading technology in developing biomethane markets.

“In 2025, we demonstrated positive results — new contracts, an expanded portfolio of services, and landmark achievements in CO₂ purification and liquefaction. We are currently investing in knowledge transfer at the local level for the sustainable growth of the biomethane market and the reliable operation of biogas upgrading plants”, — Jaime Casasus-Bribian, CEO of Ammongas.

Technical training in Denmark

Developers and EPC companies often lack direct operational experience with amine-based enrichment technology. In addition, this technology is an important element in supporting demand for bio-LNG, which helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

To bridge this knowledge gap, Ammongas is launching a structured knowledge-sharing initiative in the form of technical training in Denmark with site visits on 17-18 March 2026 (registration open until 13 March).

Register for training by 13 March

Online participation is available on the first day. If you have any questions, please contact Oleksandra Gumeniuk: ogu@ammongas.com, +48 503 412 656.

“Our more than 20 years of experience clearly demonstrates the maturity and reliability of amine-based upgrading technology. However, the technology itself is not everything. Local expertise is just as important. Through this training, we aim to strengthen long-term partnerships by building real technical understanding, and Ukraine has enormous potential”, — Oleksandra Gumeniuk, Commercial Manager at Ammongas.

Ammongas results for 2025

In 2025, Ammongas successfully commissioned a CO₂ liquefaction plant at the Tønder biogas plant with a total capacity of 48,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year. It supplies the highest purity CO₂ for e-fuels to the Kassø electro-methanol plant owned by European Energy and Mitsui. This milestone confirms Ammongas’ capabilities not only in biogas upgrading, but also in creating integrated carbon capture and utilisation solutions.

The company continued to expand its organisation, increasing its workforce by 12%. Four significant contracts were signed in Norway, the United States and Denmark. Two large FEED studies were also completed, including a flue gas CO₂ capture project — the first in Italy, a project in the pulp and paper industry in Australia, and the company’s first project in Canada. New projects are expected to be implemented in 2026.

Ammongas’ service portfolio currently covers 35 biogas plants in Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway, the United States and Sweden, which together produced 425 million Nm³ of biomethane in 2025. Since its inception, Ammongas has a portfolio of nearly 80 completed projects worldwide, most of which are biogas upgrading plants.

“Amino’s enrichment technology has proven its effectiveness through decades of stable operation in Scandinavia. High methane production and low operating costs are the result of proper design and operation”, — Michael Demuth Pedersen, Chief Technical Officer at Ammongas.

Founded in 2002, Ammongas is Denmark’s leading company in biogas upgrading, CO₂ capture, and CO₂ purification and liquefaction. More than 50% of the biomethane supplied to Denmark’s national gas transmission network comes from Ammongas plants.
