Within the framework of the “Technical Assistance for CBAM good exports from UA to EU” project, 3 domestic manufacturers of CBAM goods from at least two Ukrainian export industries (iron and steel, cement, fertilisers and aluminium) will be selected for consulting assistance in monitoring, determining the embedded emissions of manufactured goods, transferring data to reporting CBAM declarants and further exporting these goods to EU countries.

Purpose of selection

A consortium of experts from the Biomass-Carbon Ltd. and the DiXi Group will perform 3 comprehensive consultations, which will include the:

  • development of monitoring methodology documentation following the CBAM structure;
  • monitoring;
  • data collection;
  • calculation of built-in emissions.

The entire counselling process will be free of charge.

Requirements

  1. The company need to be registered in Ukraine and produce industrial products covered by CBAM (iron and steel, cement, fertilisers and aluminium) for further export to the EU. It is necessary to have experience exporting to the EU and relevant certificates.
  2. It is necessary to have a system of measurement and accounting of materials, fuel and energy.
  3. The company should strive to implement monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions under the requirements of CBAM. 
  4. An important condition is the location of the company at least 50 km from the war zones.

The assistance will be provided according to the project “Technical Assistance for CBAM good exports from UA to EU”, implemented by the Biomass-Carbon Ltd with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands within the framework of the development of the foreign policy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
