We thank the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as the people’s deputies who are the authors for the preparation and support of the draft law.
The UABIO team was directly involved in the development of the law and deeply support its adoption!
The draft Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving State Regulation in the Pesticides and Agrochemicals Sector” has been sent to the President of Ukraine for signature. It means that the term “digestate produced in biogas plants” was legally defined and the requirements for its state registration were abolished for the first time.
The full definition:
Digestate produced by biogas plants is the residues of raw materials, by-products, and waste of animal or plant origin, in a mixture or not, formed as a result of a controlled process of anaerobic digestion with the biogas release, which meets the requirements established by Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 of the European Parliament and the Council of June 5, 2019, on establishing rules for placement on the EU fertilizer market and amending Regulations (EC) 1069/2009 and (EC) 1107/2009 and repealing Regulation (EC) 2003/2003.
Congratulations to everyone involved!
