UABIO analytics: What was 2020 for the RES and bioenergy sector?
Results of 2020:
The total installed capacity of RES facilities reached 7737 MW,%:
- Solar power plants – 6093 MW (79%);
- wind power plants – 1314 MW (17%);
- small hydroelectric power stations – 117 MW (2%);
- biothermal power plants – 108 MW (1%);
- biogas – 103 MW (1%).
Installed capacity of RES facilities: +1353.3 MW:
- Solar power plants – 1169 MW;
- wind power plants – 145 MW;
- small hydroelectric power stations – 3 MW;
- biothermal power plants – 19,3 MW;
- biogas – 17 MW.
Total production of green electricity – 10180 million kWh,%:
- Solar power plants – 58%;
- wind power plants – 32%;
- small hydroelectric power stations – 2%;
- biothermal power plants – 3%;
- biogas – 5%.
The number of objects that received a surcharge to the green tariff – 160 units:
- Solar power plants – 112;
- wind power plants – 26;
- small hydroelectric power stations – 11;
- biothermal power plants – 5;
- biogas – 6.
The number of companies / facilities operating in the RES sector – 934/1430 units:
- Solar power plants – 784 / 1131;
- wind power plants – 27 / 77;
- small hydroelectric power stations – 70 / 169;
- biothermal power plants – 18 / 18 (+3);
- biogas – 35 / 53 (+4).
