Grain Storage Forum: focus on biogas and biomethane
Dear friends, we are sharing our impressions of the seventh Grain Storage Forum, which focused on the future of the agricultural sector in the context of the implementation of biogas and biomethane technologies!
On 31 January, the seventh Grain Storage Forum took place in Kyiv. The event has become a leading platform for discussing trends in the development of storage, processing, trading and logistics of agricultural products, bringing together more than 1200 visitors from over 500 companies, 50+ exhibitors and over 70 leading speakers.
UABIO was involved in the event as a co-organiser. In particular, within the framework of the panel discussion ‘Biogas and biomethane for energy independence and competitiveness of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex’, moderated by UABIO chairman of the board Georgii Geletukha.
Representatives of the companies that are members of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine spoke at the section:
- Sergiy Savchuk, Director of Development and Investments of VITAGRO Group;
- Oleg Ryabov, Executive Director of Horodyshche-Pustovarivska Agrarian Company;
- Adomas Audickas, General Director of MHP VERDANT LLC;
- Malvina Shynkarchuk, Biogas project manager at Pro-Energy.
In addition, we are grateful to Oleksandr Dombrovsky, President of MHP Eco Energy, Chairman of the Board of Global 100% RE Ukraine, for his interesting presentation on the synergy opportunities between renewable energy and the agricultural sector. He spoke as part of the panel discussion ‘Agricultural sector and solar energy: Synergy of Opportunities’.
During the conference, participants discussed the current state of the agricultural market, key challenges, improving the sector’s resilience in times of war, and improving agricultural production, processing, trading and logistics of agricultural products in wartime.
