The export of biomethane will become possible — a draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
We have great news for producers of renewable gases, the issue of biomethane export is on the agenda of the Parliament of Ukraine. The draft law of Ukraine on amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine regarding the customs clearance of biomethane, N9456 dated 07/03/2023, has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine!
Customs control and customs clearance of biomethane transported by pipeline across the customs border of Ukraine will be carried out according to foreign economic agreements (contracts) in the manner provided for natural gas. A card of the draft law is available at the link.
The team of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine fully supports this draft law and believes that it will provide a real opportunity to export biomethane from Ukraine.
